Gingerbread Maple Latte
What captures the smell of Christmas better than gingerbread? This treat, synonymous with so many people’s childhoods, is something we’re sure Santa’s reindeer would absolutely love! Bursting with rich flavor and packed with aromatic spices, a gingerbread maple latte is the type of Christmas coffee that is a must-try for coffee lovers. Best of all, you can make your own cup of this comfortable Christmas coffee with just a few simple ingredients and 5 minutes of prep time. After all, Santa’s reindeer would want a drink that’s quick to make since their schedules are so busy!
Ingredients (serves 1):
- 1 cup of milk (feel free to use any milk substitute you like)
- 1 shot of espresso
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger
- A pinch of allspice powder
- A pinch of nutmeg powder
- 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
- Whipped cream (optional topping)
Step 2: Warm your milk in a pan on medium heat.
Step 3: Add in your espresso, ground ginger, allspice, nutmeg, and maple syrup.
Step 4: Top with whipped cream and enjoy.
Vanilla Eggnog Latte
Fun fact! Bird eggs actually make up a part of reindeers’ natural diet in the wild, and this Christmas coffee treat will surely leave them craving more! The decadent, creamy texture of eggnog pairs perfectly with the punchy flavors of espresso to make an exciting Christmas coffee drink. Just like the previous Christmas coffee on our list, this one is delicious and quick to make. It’s also very nutritious, which is perfect for exhausted reindeer looking to pack in some additional energy!
Ingredients (serves 1):
- 3/4 cup of Eggnog (store-bought, or homemade)
- 1 espresso shot
- A pinch of nutmeg
Step 1: Brew a shot of espresso. You can measure out the exact amount of coffee grounds you need by using measuring spoons or by using a digital scale. Once you have the right amount, extract a shot of espresso with a coffee machine or Moka Pot.
Step 2: Add your eggnog, espresso, and a pinch of nutmeg into a blender. Blend until the ingredients are well-incorporated and frothy. If you do not have a blender, you can just shake them up in a mason jar.
Step 3: Heat the mixture up over medium heat until warm.
Step 4: Garnish with nutmeg and serve.
Apple Cider Chai Latte
Though apples don’t grow in a reindeer’s natural habitat, reindeer still love eating apples as a sweet treat when they get the chance. We’re willing to bet that Santa has plenty of juicy apples for his reindeer to snack on during long trips, but what about a Christmas coffee drink that incorporates apples into the mix? Look no further than our apple cider chai latte! This drink combines the crisp, juicy flavor of apples with the creaminess of Christmas coffee! We’re certain this simple drink will be one that Santa and his reindeer will come back to often during their winter travels and when they take a well-deserved break throughout the rest of the year.
Ingredients (serves 2):
- 4 apples (peeled and sliced)
- 4 cups of water
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 teaspoon of cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground allspice
Chai Tea Latte
- 2 cups of milk (you can also use any milk substitute you like)
- 2-3 black tea bags
- 2 tablespoons of agave (or honey)
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla
- 1 shot espresso
Chai Tea Spice Mix
- 2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon of allspice
- 1 teaspoon of cardamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cloves

Step 1: Add your apples, cinnamon sticks, cloves, allspice, and water into a medium-sized saucepan. Let the mixture simmer until the apples become soft and the flavors have combined. This should take 15-20 minutes.
Step 2: Use a ladle to scoop the ingredients and strain them, making sure to squeeze the excess juice out of your apples. Discard the apples, cinnamon sticks, and cloves, and set your apple cider aside for later.
Chai Tea Latte
Step 1: Extract a high-quality shot of espresso. Make sure to measure out your beans and grind them evenly before extraction.
Step 2: In a medium saucepan, add the milk and let it boil for 1-2 minutes over medium-high heat.
Step 3: Remove the milk from the heat and add the tea bags, letting them steep in the milk for 5 minutes.
Step 4: Remove the teabags and whisk in 1 tablespoon of your chai tea spice mix, 1/2 a cup of cider, vanilla, shot of espresso, and agave (or honey).
